Лилия Йотова е председател на Асоциацията на Професионалните Фотографи (АПФ) в България и член на Федерацията на Европейските Професионални Фотографи. Тя е сертифициран European Photographer. Преподавател е по фоторепортаж и фотожурналистика в Арт Колеж. Член на Съюза на българските журналисти.
Лилия е завършила Национална професионална гимназия по полиграфия и фотография, след това Колеж по реклама и PR към СУ, ФЖМК, бакалавърската й степен е със специалност Бизнесадминистрация и стопанско управление, а магистратурата – Печатни медии.
Лилия се занимава само с фотография повече от 15 години. Нейни снимки са публикувани на страниците на списанията Story, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, National Geographic, Cosmopolitan, National Geographic Kids, Блясък, Журнал за жената, Кулинарен журнал, Здравен журнал, Моето дете, Ева, Максимум и т.н. В портфолиото си има над 200 корици на списания.
Работи по различни проекти и кампании на Уницеф. Журира международни и национални фотографски конкурси. Взима участие в няколко съвместни изложби с колеги фотографи и има реализирана самостоятелна изложба от Карнавала във Венеция на тема „Всички лица на любовта“.

49 years old, a photography artist. I teach Photography and Art history and holds many photography workshops. I won several photo contests and participated in many photo exhibition in galleries and museums. My photos vary in topics from documentary to conceptual art projects. The blend of photography, painting and cinematography are very clear in my photos. I take my ideas from art history and fantasies that give me freedom while shooting and processing. My conceptual artworks are often based on fantasies, fairy tales and the world of childhood, i blur the boundaries between them in my photos. It's important to me that each photo will tell a story, pass over an idea and make the viewer to ask many questions.

In 2005 I was awarded “Best of Show” at the Center for Fine Art Photography’s international competition in Colorado, USA. And in 2006 I was awarded World Press Photo award and released my premier book “First Light”. In 2007 I became the first Bangladeshi to be selected for the 30 Emerging Photographers (PDN 30), sponsored by Photo District News Magazine, USA. I won the 7th Vevey International Photography Grant from Switzerland
in 2009 and in the same year, I took home the international ‘Travel photographer of the Year” title at the International Travel Photographer of the Year Competition (TPOY2009) in the UK, the most prestigious award in travel photography. I was one of the speakers in the fifth Global Investigative Journalism Conference, held at Lillehammer, Norway in 2008 and as well I was the first Bangladeshi in Ted talk at TEDxOporto 2011, in Portugal. I was one of the speaker of “7th Forum of Emerging Leaders in Asian Journalism”, Yogyakarta / Indonesia”. In 2011. Nikon has selected me as one of the 8 influencers in Asia pacific (APAC region). In 2012 I have published my second book ‘Survivors’ my 10 years long term work which has reviewed by Prestigious Geo Magazine, worldwide. Presented my work as one of the speaker on Unicef dutch television in Unicef Night in 2012. The note speaker at the conference “The power of pictures” in Germany, March 2013. One of the Speaker in the momentous conference of Media Trends 2013 at Webster University Geneva.

Till now I judged 15 international Photo contest and I am happy to be part of VIPA 2016 awards jury team.

I am a professional photographer focusing on corporate photography mainly doing architectural imagery. I'm based in Atlanta, Georgia and provide photography services to businesses in the Atlanta area. Photography is a creative outlet so I enjoy photography away from work as well.

I have been a judge in numerous photography competitions in the last several years and have provided instructional services to photographers in the Atlanta, Georgia.
