For the tenth year in a row, Gnarly Head is on a mission to discover the gnarliest pork ribs recipe in the country. All judges are looking for creative and flavorful recipes that are big, bold and gnarly.
So, put on your apron and break out your secret sauces, spices, rubs and marinades. Submit your best original recipe for grilled pork ribs, along with a suggested pairing for a Gnarly Head wine. Add a photo and win the grand prize.
Grand Prize: $5,000.
No cash equivalent or substitution is permitted.
The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC (excluding UT) who are age 21 or older. Licensed distributors or retailers of alcoholic beverages, and their employees, are not eligible. Previous winners are also not eligible.
All ingredients must be easy to obtain and measured precisely in US measurements. Do not list any ingredient as "to taste."
All recipes must be 2000 words or less to be submitted and reviewed by the judging panel.
Submission may not refer to any company/brand or food or beverage brands other than Gnarly Head. Recipe must be for pork ribs and must be entirely original and created by you. Each recipe must include readily available ingredients and use standard, unabbreviated U.S. measurements, (i.e., cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, ounces, or pounds), specific amounts for each ingredient (i.e., pounds of ribs, teaspoons of salt and pepper; do not sayto taste for any ingredient, but list exact amount so reviewers can judge how the ribs will taste).
