FanStory has been helping writers of all skill levels to get feedback for their writing and become a part of an online writing community. It represents an unparalleled source of writing tips, challenges, and contests. In terms of the latter, FanStory is now organizing a Cinquain Poetry Contest open to writers worldwide.

It invites writers, who can come up with a poetry that consists of a 2-4-6-8-2 syllable count in 5 lines, to engage in a contest with a cash prize.

To enter one should write a cinquain poetry and use it to enter in this contest.
A cinquain is a short and usually unrhymed poem. The format for this type of poem is simple. Each line has a specific number of syllables. There are a total of 5 lines and they follow the syllables in this order: 2-4-6-8-2.
Your cinquain can be written about any subject.
Writers can use a rhyme scheme if desired.
Example of cinquain poetry:
She's lost inside her laugh before the rising tide that reaches out to tickle her bare toes.
