Hello, I want to introduce you this new contest, which is open for participants from all around the world. The "BP Portrait Award" 2017 has been opened. It is one of the most prestigious competitions for in the world. Join this online contest by clicking the green button "Join" in the top right corner. This contest represents the best in contemporary portrait paintings. And is open for all participants aged 18. The total prize fund is £61000 pounds (72600 euro), of which £30000 pounds (35600 euro) are for the 1st prize winner. The contest is limited to 1 entry per artist. Works must have been finished after 01.01.2016. Selection consists of 2 rounds of judging, one for the 2nd round of judging and one for the exhibition. All participants will be notified if their work has been selected and is in the 2nd round of judging by 16.02.2017. The result of the second round will be available by 16.03.2016. All the winners will be announced at the BP Awards Ceremony on 20.06.2017. The exhibition for public is scheduled for 22 June till 24 September 2017 at the National Portrait Gallery of London, United Kingdom. Every participant will have to pay £40 fee to enter in International Portrait Award. Call for entries closing date is 26.01.2017. Winning this competition can give you a great cash prize. Judging and the Exhibition

To enter the BP Portrait Award 2017 artists should upload a digital image of their work for a first round of judging. All images will be viewed by a panel of judges and the entrants who are successful in this round will be invited to deliver their work to a venue in London for the final round of judging and the exhibition selection, including Award-winners.

The competition is open to all artists from around the world.
Artists must be aged 18 years or over as of 1 January 2017.
A non-refundable fee of £40.00 is charged to enter. This fee covers administration costs and can be paid on the Gallery’s website only.
