Hello, I would like to present you the “British Life Photography Awards”. A showcase of contemporary and imaginative images that capture the essence and spirit of British life. The awards are a unique visual celebration of British life. Whether an intimate portrait, a poignant moment, or sequence of innovative and illuminating images that tell an important story. The awards recognizes and showcases the work of established and emerging photographers, both professional and amateur, while also highlighting the relevance and importance of photography to raise awareness and inform. In addition to the prestige and exposure there is a 17000 Euro prize fund. The overall winner will receive 7900 Euro products. - Young Photographer: up to 6 images, free - Bronze: 1 image, 5.70 Euro - Silver: up to 5 images, 11.30 Euro - Gold: up to 20 images, 23.00 Euro - Diamond: up to 40 images, 34.00 Euro Winners and commended entrants will have their work on show at the Royal Albert Hall, Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar, and be included in a full colour book. Documenting daily life has been a tradition for over a century, organizators want to encourage photographers to elevate the commonplace and familiar into something compelling or fascinating through the craft, creativity and discipline of photography. There are 10 categories: Rural life; Street life; Portraiture; Urban life; Life at work Brits on Holiday; British weather; Historic Britain documentary series and Young British life photographer. Winning this competition, can give the entrants a good start in their careers. Participate in online competitions to develop your professional portfolio and win prizes. In addition to the prestige and exposure there is a 17,000 Euro prize fund from lead sponsor Sony. The overall winner will receive £8,000 in Sony products.

With ten separate categories link including street life, rural life, portraiture and documentary feature, the awards are a unique visual celebration of British life, in all its richness and diversity, creating an enduring visual record of the spirit and essence of our nation.

Documenting daily life has been a tradition for over a century, so just like the great documentary photographers of the past and present, we want to encourage photographers to elevate the commonplace and familiar into something compelling or fascinating through the craft, creativity and discipline of photography.

Winners and commended entrants will have their work on show at the Royal Albert Hall, Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar, and be included in a full colour book.

COPYRIGHT:
Entrants retain the copyright to images submitted.
By submitting images to the competition, each entrant confirms and warrants as follows.
They are the sole author of each entry and that it is their original work;
They own the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of each image.
USAGE RIGHTS:
By entering the competition, each entrant grants BLPA and its sponsors and supporters a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the images for any purpose directly connected with the competition. This may include, but is not limited to: inclusion in a book of winning and commended images; display at exhibitions; display on a web browser for judging purposes; on the BLPA website and on the websites of sponsors and supporters; on social media used by BLPA, its sponsors and supporters; for use in releases to be distributed to national, regional & specialist press and other media giving information about or promoting the competition.BLPA can sub-license images for reproduction in connection with the competition and exhibition only.
BLPA will make every reasonable effort to ensure that name credits are given to any photograph published in any medium.
Free usage of any photograph will not be permitted by BLPA, or any of its partners or sponsors outside of the scope of the competition and exhibition.
There is no plan envisaged by BLPA, or any of its partners or sponsors, to create a general commercial library of the images entered into this competition.
Entrants retain the copyright to images submitted.
Images used on merchandise commissioned by the organisers will be discussed individually with the photographer concerned and a separate agreement made.
