This colorful log was underwater before we disassemble an old 1847 dam. This dam was constructed to stop the floating logs and to provide electricity to a sawing mill sit at the mouth of the river Des Escoumins, Québec, Canada. This river was a salmon river but with the wood cutting operations, the dam was constructed and stopped salmon migration. In 2013, I was the director of the local fishing association. My prime work was to disassemble the dam and reintroduce the salmon population which was not really effective because the obstruction of the old dam. Finally, we did it!
