Buskett Gardens is one of the few woodlands that one can enjoy in the Maltese islands, and is located in Siggiewi, Malta. It is a natural woodland and has the highest protection degree, ecologically, and it is also a Natura 2000 site.
Besides having a variety of habitats ranging from Maquis, forest remnants, different levels of garrigue, woods typical of watercourses, Aleppo Pine woodlands are only found, here, in Buskett Gardens.
Buskett Gardens was established in the 16th century and it is one of the heritage site left to us by the Knights of St John and was further enhanced by the next colonisers – the British.
