In the Sundarban areas in West Bengal, India huge deforestation and unplanned human civilization made the Eco system to break. Trees and forests are destroyed in the name of progress. Construction of roadways, hospitals, administrative buildings etc. also needs deforestation. Due to illegal cutting of trees, encroachment of forest areas and illegal poaching of wildlife, the mangrove forest is losing biodiversity in an alarming rate. This forest ecosystem also has become vulnerable to pollution, which may have changed the ecosystem's biogeochemistry.
Further threats arise from global climate change, especially sea level rise. It is causing soil erosion, flood, break in food chain for the animals and birds etc. The progress in the name of development has forced man to declare the conflict between man and nature. The destruction of mother earth is very prominent in the riverbank. Many species are about to disappear. We must take care and act urgently so that preservation of our planet gets the utmost priority. Otherwise one day will come when there will be only human faces and concrete structures all around. The day is no far away when birds will stop singing, rivers will stop flowing, and trees will stop blooming. We must remember that we are a part of the nature. If we forget nature will strike back in a while and there will prevail nature again all around.
Here in the picture the future of the little girl is in danger because of deforestation.
