Into the new future

Place: Istanbul (Turkey). Church of Saint Irene.
The church was absolutely empty: bare brick walls, deserted halls, lack of decoration… Reconstruction. People entering there turned around on the spot not even crossing the threshold. Anyone but me. There was something that I felt in the air: something deep, internal, restful and philosophical that forced me to make these pictures…
