Inspired by mine and my friends photographs I started a series of portraits using ink and calligraphy pen in technique devised particularity for this series called "In the labyrinth of the face". I was contemplating on the idea of women beauty, and where it resides. In this process I got in a labyrinth of questions and answers and started drawing lines over the faces making a maze like structure that looking from a far gives an impression of a portrait but looking up close becomes an abstraction. This should represent that the beauty is question of perspective and that everyone has its own vision of it. I started working in black and white, using only ink but later started introducing color and other materials such as tempera, watercolor and other mediums.
