“Paet” is the Filipino word for chisel where Paete town got its name. Paete the wood carving capital of the Philippines, is known for wood carved items such as religious statues, images, intricate furniture and other products. Many wood carver inherited their carving skills from their father transfer from their ancestor of wood carvers.
