The photo was taken on a black and white negative film around 1995 in the village of Bar-Bulak near the Issyk-Kul lake in the Kyrgyz Republic. The grandmother carries collected brushwood to bake bread tortillas in a tandoor (special oven). Baking is done one on one village. And anyone can come and make bread in it. The villagers collect brushwood, so as not to cut trees, protect the environment. They also prepare manure (dried cattle litter in the sun). It burns well.
