Traditional Boat Race

To keep the age old traditional values alive ,the annual Aranmula boat race are still being performed with large wooden boats .Throughout the year these 70-80 ft long wooden boats are polished and maintained by the festival committee so as to hand over the baton of heritage from one generation to the next.
