In few parts of the world, de-husking paddy using a wooden, specially carved and designed pole, and a platform, using the muscle strength of home makers is still prevalent. Unlike modern machinery in huge mills, using non renewable fuel, the traditional method retains the nutrition and the husk is available to domestic animals. No fossil fuel is consumed, nor is the product transported beyond the village boundary. Categories: Action Photography |
