The Aeta natives of Sitio Haduan in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, Philippines have already learned how to wisely utilize wood energy that the forest area of the place offers e.g. for food, shelter, equipment to transport goods, and the likes. They also serve as the caretakers of the sitio specially that this side of the city is now flourishing into a favorite eco-tourism haven of trekkers and other tourists. In this photo, a group of Aeta natives are transporting goods to the other side of the surrounding hills through a wooden cart via lahar-capped landmass of the area. A wooden hanging bridge is also seen at the background which makes traversing the area more accessible. Categories: Photography Awards ceremony |
