In 2016 I managed to travel to the Islamic Republic of Tajikistan, and my main destination was the village of Derq, which was about five hours from the capital city of Dushanbe. Due to the large amount of trees in this semi-mountainous area, the use of wood was also very common there, and some people still used old wooden home supplies and furniture. If you did not see the cars and the receiver antennas, you would feel that you were back at least two hundred years ago. Here's a woman mashing some corn in wooden mortar.
