WOOD AS FOOD

Despite using wood for building shelters, bridges, transportation and tools to ease our daily chores, these nourishing trees provide staple food to the people of Melanau living in Sarawak. The Melanau people have been living off sago trees since century ago. Though modernization gradually improve their lifestyle, the tools and methods use in processing the wood to food is yet traditional.
