Wood for life

I took this video in Padang Village, south of the Selayar Islands, south Sulawesi in Indonesia, the process of making wooden vessels for their lives, which is where the wood used comes from the Selayar Islands Peak Forest, the local community is very dependent on wood in the forest because basically they work as fishermen, with the wood they can make wooden ships to use to earn a living that is looking for fish in the sea and also used as a means of inter-island transportation, thus wood is very important in the lives of coastal communities especially Padang Islands Selayar Village .
